About DigiDad
Here is our Advisory Board, made up of health care professionals, members of the North East Young Dads and Lads team and young dads. This board ensures that all our content is up to the highest of standards.

Dr Philip Heslop
Dr Phillip Heslop is a senior lecturer at the University of Northumbria. Dr Philip or Phil as we like to call him plays an integral part in researching and helping to write our content.

Jonah York
Jonah York is the project lead on the DigiDAD program and is currently working as the Peer Support and Education Officer at North East Young Dads and Lads. Jonah is the driver behind the DigiDAD team and is completely in awe of the expertise of this board.

Katrina Walker
Katrina Walker works for the Family Nurse Partnership in Sunderland. Katrina has an expansive knowledge of the care sector paying special attention to our parenting courses helping us keep our content up to date.

Sarah Oliver
Sarah Oliver is a social worker specialising in mental health. Sarah helps to ensure that our information is correct and fair. Sarah also has a great eye for detail and a lot of knowledge around all things social care.

Robert Oughton
Robert Oughton is a young dad. He is an expert by experience, ensuring us oldies are keeping our content relevant and engaging, Robert also has great first hand tips and tricks on being a young dad.

Jennifer Goldstein
Jennifer Goldstein is a specialist family lawyer working at Samuel Phillips Law firm and is also a trustee for the North East Young Dads and Lads. Jennifer is a very pragmatic member of the board and contributes in shaping and developing our films and online content.

Dr Anna Tarrant
Dr Anna Tarrant is an associate professor at the University of Lincoln, she is also a lead academic in the Following Young Fathers’ Further research project. Anna is a huge asset to the board and her experience of working with young fathers is extremely beneficial… from design ideas, to story plots, to representing father figures Anna’s got it covered.

Doug Laidlaw
Doug Laidlaw is the senior project worker and safeguarding lead at the North East Young Dads and Lads, he also chairs the DigiDAD board. Aside from keeping the board in check and on time Doug contributes to the conversation with his extensive experience and knowledge around young fathers.
About DigiDad
Here is a section of the site where you can learn a bit more about us and why we create DigiDAD. DigiDAD is a peer lead platform created by Dads for Dads. It focuses on content that Dads might need in their life and looks to create an open and inclusive platform that encourages conversations about parenthood.
